"What kind of deal is that?" asked Barbossa warily.

There was a hint of sarcasm in Xiao Feng's voice, and he said to his subordinates, "You heard what Captain Turner said, let her go."

"Captain Turner?" Jack exclaimed angrily. How did this pretentious little brat become the captain of his own ship?

"Yes," said Gibbs despondently, "this treacherous scoundrel has betrayed us."

The wrinkled first officer was right. Sao Feng's men helped Will defeat Jack's crew and took over the Black Pearl. Now he was going to pilot the ship to find the Flying Dutchman and rescue his father.

Jack shook his head and muttered to himself, "Dogs that bite often don't bark."

After the chains came off, Elizabeth rubbed her wrists and stared at Will with a pained expression. She would never have guessed that he would betray them all like this.

Chapter 288 That's all for business, enjoy the gallows!

Jack shook his head and muttered to himself, "Dogs that bite often don't bark."

After the chains came off, Elizabeth rubbed her wrists and stared at Will with a pained expression. She would never have guessed that he would betray them all like this.

"Why didn't you tell me you were planning this?" she asked.

"It's a burden I carry," Will said, repeating what she had said back to her.

Elizabeth frowned and stood up straighter.

If Will trusted her, she might be able to help him find another way.

In fact, he was playing a very dangerous game, putting all of their lives in the hands of Sao Feng and his men.

"The only way a pirate can profit these days is by betraying other pirates." Barbossa repeated what Sao Feng had said in Singapore.

Unfortunately for Barbossa, those words had a deeper meaning, because now, he was the one being betrayed.

"I admit and accept." Xiao Feng responded.

"Don't you despise betrayers?" Jack asked him, having been betrayed twice, and Jack himself despised betrayal.

"He didn't betray me, did he?" Xiao Feng pointed out.No one has ever dared to rebel against the mighty Pirate King of Singapore.

"I need the Pearl," Will said. "That's the only reason I'm on this voyage."

Hearing Will's pale explanation for his hostile behavior, an idea popped into Jack's mind.

He pointed to Will and said, "He needs the Black Pearl."

Then he turned to Elizabeth and said, "And you feel guilty." He pointed to Barbossa again: "And you and your fraternity... No one came to save me because they missed me ?”

Marty and Caton raised their hands.

After a while, Pantel and Rajti raised their hands too, and Monkey Jack.

Jack walked up to his loyal crew: "I'm going to stand there with them."

But before he could go far, Xiao Feng grabbed his arm: "I'm sorry, Jack."

There was no apology in his tone: "But there is another old friend who wants to meet you first."

"I'm not sure I can survive more of these old friend meetings." Jack said nervously, rubbing his chin that was hit by Sao Feng just now.

"We now have a chance to see what the outcome will be." Sao Feng said slyly.

He pointed over Jack's shoulder, and Jack turned around to see an unwanted sight around the island.

It was Lord Cutler Beckett's ship, the Endeavor.

Jack stifled a moan.

He had managed to elude the East India Trading Company for a long time, but not now.

He is stuck.

Jack Sparrow himself has been in a deservedly sticky situation, and now it looks like he's in another.

After being roughly dragged away by Sao Feng's men, Jack was thrown into the captain's cabin of the Endeavor.

Lord Cutler Beckett stood by the window, looking out to sea, his white wig well fitted on his head.

The guards put all of Jack's belongings on the table, including his compass.

Lord Beckett sent the guard away with a slight nod, leaving only Jack and himself.

When Jack looked around the room, he was still standing by the window, but his eyes were on the Black Pearl.

"It's incredible," Beckett said to himself. "The last time I saw this ship, it was burning and sinking into the sea, and I very much wish that was the last time I saw it."

As Beckett spoke, Jack began to tiptoe around the room, peering into cupboards and boxes.

"Then close your eyes and pretend it's just a bad dream," Jack said rudely. "That's how I got through it."

"You don't have to look for it, Jack," said Beckett, still not looking back. "It's not here."

Jack froze, then carefully closed the lid on one of the jars he was peering into.

"What does it refer to?" he asked casually.

Beckett turned around and stared at him with an omniscient expression: "I understand what a person really wants."

"No amount of deceit or trickery can make his forecast wrong." Jack still looked confused, "Davy Jones' heart."

"It's not here," Beckett explained, "it's safely stowed aboard the Flying Dutchman, so it can't be used by you to pay off that good captain."

Jack paused, considering Beckett's message that the heart wasn't here, but at least he knew where it was now.

That in itself was more than he wished to know when he was hauled aboard the Endeavour, and as for the debt...

"By my calculations, that account is closed," said Jack.

"That's based on your death." Beckett agreed, "But you're still here."

Jack thought about it carefully, then shrugged: "Yes, I'm still here."

"The fact that I'm painfully aware that I'm still here, why am I still here?" he said.

Beckett went to the table and picked up Jack's compass. He weighed the compass in his hands for a while, then held it up for Jack to see.
